Holistic Bloom Therapies
A Natural Approach to Wellbeing

I'm passionate about a natural and holistic approach to health and wellbeing and
helping others to achieve good health naturally. My first experience of complementary therapies was Reflexology. I was so impressed with the results,
I went on to study it myself so that I could share the benefits with others. I subsequently went on to study VRT, AromaReflex and Reiki, which are a wonderful addition to my treatments.
I'm continually developing my practice and knowledge to give you the very best experience.
I offer my treatments from The Green Room at the Long Ashton Community Centre
and my treatment room at home in Portishead.
I like to create a calm and friendly space where you can feel completely at ease.
Please read below for further information about all of my therapies.
If you have any questions at all please do not hesitate to contact me.
For prices and availability please visit my online booking site below.
I use only Neal's Yard Remedies Organic natural and ethical products in my treatments,

Reflexology
Natural Healing
I'm trained in the Original Ingham Method of Reflexology and qualified in 2004
and I'm a proud member of The Association of Reflexologists.
Evidence suggests that Reflexology originated in ancient Egypt and the science that we know today was developed from zone therapy. It's a wonderful natural non-invasive therapy that helps to restore balance and harmony. It deals with the principle that there are reflex areas in the feet and hands that correspond to all parts of the body. By working on these areas reflexology helps to relieve stress and tension; improve blood supply and promote the unblocking of nerve impulses helping to restore balance naturally. Reflexology can be helpful in relieving the symptoms of many everyday conditions.
It is a very relaxing treatment and suitable for the whole family
(subject to consultation).
What to expect at a session:
A standard Reflexology appointment is 1 hour, at your first appointment we will discuss what you would like to achieve from the treatment and complete a consultation form. In a typical session I would work on the feet, however I can also work on the hands. During a full treatment I may include some VRT, where the weight bearing feet (or hands) are briefly treated, before and after treatment. When the feet or hands are weight bearing they are sensitised and just a few minutes of VRT can increase the benefits of a reflexology treatment and can be beneficial in improving
movement and easing pain.
It is usually most beneficial to have regular Reflexology treatments, the frequency and number of treatments required will be determined after your first treatment and will vary for each individual based on your presenting condition.
I also offer a 75 minute combined appointment, incorporating Reiki for a truly relaxing experience to restore balance and harmony.
If you are new to the therapy and would like a taster session that can be arranged too, I offer a 1/2 hour taster session where we can discuss the therapy and how it may help you and you will receive a mini treatment.
If you would like to discuss in more detail how reflexology may benefit you
I offer a free 15 minute consultation by phone.
If you would like to give someone a treatment as a present then gift vouchers are available too, please contact me to arrange this.
If you have any questions or would like to find out more about the benefits of Reflexology then please feel free to contact me.
Thanks

AromaReflex is a very nurturing treatment, combining the wonderful natural and therapeutic properties of essential oils with a Reflexology treatment. With additional massage techniques for maximum benefit this is a truly relaxing treatment. I will make an Aromatherapy blend specifically for you, which I will use during your treatment and you can then take away and use at home to get maximum results.
Not suitable for children under 16.
What to expect at a session:
An AromaReflex appointment is 1 hour. At your first session we will discuss what you would like to achieve from the treatment and complete a consultation form. I will create an Aromatherapy blend specifically for you which I will use during your treatment. In a typical session I would work on the feet, however I can also work on the hands. The additional massage will involve working on the calves and up to the knee, so wearing loose clothing is helpful. I will also ask that you try and leave the oils on for up to 8 hours after the treatment for maximum results.

Reiki
Balance your Mind Body & Soul

“Reiki” (ray-key) is Japanese for 'universal life energy', and is also a word used to describe a system of natural healing. This tradition was founded by Mikao Usui
in the early 20th century and evolved as a result of his research,
experience and dedication.
We live in a world of energy that nourishes and maintains all living things. When this energy flows uninterrupted there is balance and harmony within and around us, and we experience a sense of well being.
There are many variations of Reiki, but in essence Reiki treatments can help the body emotionally or spiritually. It is a tradition that is open to any belief system.
Reiki treatment is a process that anyone can enjoy in the normal course of their life. Reiki can be used alongside other conventional or complementary treatment and often helps to provide emotional support during recovery. Reiki is a very gentle non-invasive meditative therapy suitable for anyone from the very young to the young at heart.
What to expect at a session:
A standard appointment is 1 hour, at your first appointment we will discuss what you would like to achieve from the treatment and complete a consultation form. How many sessions will be up to you and how you feel.

I also offer a 75 minute combined appointment, incorporating Reflexology for a truly relaxing experience to restore balance and harmony.

If you would like to discuss in more detail how reiki may benefit you
I offer a free 15 minute consultation which can be face to face or by phone.

If you would like to give someone a treatment as a present then gift vouchers are available too, please contact me to arrange this.

If you have any questions or would like to find out more about the benefits of Reiki then please feel free to contact me.
